What is for dinner? How are you doing? What is on your mind. If you are new to Street Prophets please introduce yourself below in a comment. This is an Open Thread / Coffee Hour and all topics of conversation are welcome. For today's suggested topic lets consider Empathy Circles.
An Empathy Circle is a structured dialogue process based on mutual active listening. The process increases constructive dialogue and mutual understanding by ensuring that each person feels fully heard to their satisfaction.

I’m thinking about starting a Empathy Circle for Street Prophets. I the idea is to meet on Zoom for about 2 hours and discuss a topic related to electing more and better Democrats and promoting more empathy in the Democratic Party. Jump the fold for a video on Empathy Circles and a little more explanation. The poll question is: Would you participate in a Street Prophets Empathy Circle?
This is a Open Thread / Coffee Hour.
Today I’m away from the computer working on my garden project mentioned in last Monday’s open thread, so I’m unable to post the community links comment. I will check back in much later today.
The video below explains the benefits of the circle and the process to conduct the circle. The circles can be both in person or conducted using video conferencing using Zoom. Clearly, Daily Kos or Street Prophets Empathy Circles would have to be conducted using zoom.
Some text about the benefits of Empathy Circles from the transcript of the above video:

Currently, there are about 60 empathy circles being run on zoom per month. Just about one or two per day. One can see the calendar of meetings, focus, times, and join links at this address: https://www.empathycircle.com/schedule.
For more information about the process visit the Empathy Circle Website at this address: https://www.empathycircle.com/home.
I’m considering taking the 5 week facilitator training class and set up the poll to see if their would be any interest in forming a Street Prophets Empathy Circle. I will post more in this topic in a future Monday Open Thread.
Would you participate in a Street Prophets Empathy Circle?
Regards,
