A bit of a different diary from me this week. Less commentary, more music. As some of you know, my partner and I attended Mosswood Meltdown in Oakland this weekend. Some highlights below.

Oakland girl group garage pop princess, Shannon Shaw. She showed up with ten piece band playing songs from her album ‘Shannon In Nashville’. Inspired by ‘Dusty In Memphis’ obviously.

Bikini Kill. One of the original Riot Grrrl bands. Twenty-seven years since their last Bay Area show. Complete with John Waters intro (did I mention he was the emcee introducing everyone?).
