Assuming some Classified Nuclear documents were actually recovered at Trump’s pay-to-play Clubhouse — in addition to reportedly being sought in the FBI Search Warrant … well MSNBC’s legal expert and 20-year veteran of the DOJ, has a few comments (and questions) on the subject.
Andrew Weissman just rattled off a list of question on the Lawrence O’Donnell Last Word Show. Here are a few of those questions that reporters need to be asking, based on Weissman’s Tweets today:
— —
Trump is the one who needs to explain himself — not Garland.
• Why did he have classified documents at his home?
• What was he doing with them?
• What was Trump going to do with that Classified Nuclear info?
• What Republicans are still supporting him now?
— —
I got one more or two more questions for America’s “clear and present danger” to National Security:
• Which of these Classified Documents have you already shared to those without clearance — you know as a ‘memento of your former greatness’ ?
Worse yet:
• Which of these Classified Nuclear Documents have you already sold to foreign agents?
• How much did you make on those basement transactions in the last 18 months?
• Did you think you would never get caught Donald, or is it you just don’t give a hoot about America’s security, in an ever-more dangerous world? Which is it Donald, pick one … or maybe it’s BOTH?

Obligatory caveat:
The WaPo reporter behind the Nuclear news, said on MSNBC this evening:
They don’t know if any such nuclear documents were recovered — yet.
They do know that Top Secret nuclear documents were among the items being sought.

Addendum: I just saw the repeat of The Last Word. Weissman’s questions for Trump went roughly like this:
Why in the world did he have these classified documents?
Why didn't he turn them over when subpoenaed?
What was he contemplating doing with them?
Or worse yet, what has he already done with them?
