As you can see by Itzl’s concerned look, this group is for us to check in to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Good morning friends, and welcome to another Saturday! Congratulations… We made it! This week, I decided to go back to one of my old habits, and tell you about a book that I have read recently. But Wait! Where is Lursa, you ask?! Don’t worry, she is still right here with me, but there is a reason I have Bob standing guard over the library today… So read on, oh Hyperborean Wanderer!
For those of you who have been following along at home, it will come as no surprise that I am rather fond of Jim Butcher’s recurring character Harry Dresden, and his adventures. I get rather starved for humorous reading matter when Mister Butcher is between books, or writing for one of his other series. So when I discovered that there was a new novella on its way, I broke my own rule, and spent a precious credit to by “The Law” on the day it dropped, despite the fact it was less than 4 hours long. What I did -not- realize at the time, was that this book was being read by the author himself! Now, don’t get me wrong. I love James Marsters as an audiobook narrator. I even refused to buy “Ghost Story” until it was re-recorded by Marsters, but I have never regretted buying a book read by its author. This time was no exception! and as an added bonus… I was able to support Podium Publishing, one of my favorite purveyors of audio books!
In this story, Harry has to save the girl, as he goes up against one of the most evil creatures he has ever faced… a Lawyer! Trust me, you won’t regret picking this one up!
