This all started when I shared some KOS articles on my FB page. It's not open to the public, just family and a few friends. I then recently got a DM from a close Christian Republican relative that he is “unfollowing me” because what I am sharing is "garbage".
Turns out I actually agree with him in one respect but not that the articles themselves are garbage, just the issues being reported. Fraud, corruption, extortion, TFGs' crimes, etc. All the greatest hits. Since I'm not one to leave anything alone, I starting a quick come-back to his seemingly insulting reply to my choice of articles to share. This text rant has gotten out of hand now so before I engage him directly thought I'd share this as a diary instead of further inflaming the issue.
And so it begins.....
What the far right fascist nationalists are doing and planning in the name of Christianity is sacrilege! None of it in any way is what Jesus preached and taught. To hear them spewing lies, hate, prejudice, violence, and act like this is the "Christian" norm, sickens me. WWJS? "Onward Christian Soldiers" my ass.... I didn't like or understand it when I was a kid singing those words in church, and now understand it's origin; Total control!
The far right white supremacist nationalists want to turn America into a Christian themed totalitarian theocracy. They are already installing their decades long control agendas. Their political catch phrase was/is "if you're not cheating, you're not trying". Welcome Talibanica?
From what has been heard by them plotting behind closed doors implies that they think Christian voters are just gullible rubes that can be sold anything in the name of their religion. TFG and his gang has milked millions from these folks with the lies that only they can fix what ails us.
Freedom, democracy, voting rights, Social Security, health services, separation of church and state, saving the planet, even mail delivery is on the line. We all need to ask: What does or should America mean to me and mine?
Unfortunately, republicanism in general acts similar to most religions in my opinion. Like cults having their "flocks" follow their leader's doctrine (not Gods), this control of the masses is for their leaders own material gain.
A good example is a lack of those in power not enacting gun control (registration, legal age and lethal limits, etc.) that a huge majority of all of us desire, including Republican gun owners and NRA members! With the gun manufacturers paying millions to the politicians in their pocket and making a killing selling military grade assault weapons to kids, something IS seriously stinking of "GARBAGE".
Each of us should really only ask one question: Forget ideology, propaganda, politics, and everything heard on Fox "news" or from other MAGA "Christian" cultists. It's all down to which side we're on.
Good or Evil!
Just because someone or group adds "Christian" to their name or logo doesn't make them better than others. It's always amazed me how self-proclaimed Christians can think they can accurately judge others as not being true to their faith? I'll let actions speak louder than words before I judge someone. Besides, if one's blend of Christianity has become such a filter toward an others’ beliefs that they'd persecute, assault, or even kill another, check the box evil.
With some 200 Christian denominations nationally and an estimated 45000 world wide, I'm surprised that even they can't agree on what their "religion" is.
Personally I believe that the basic teachings of Jesus is all that's needed to be on the Good side of history and God. With a religion created in Jesus' name decades after he was gone, and the history of its desire to colonize the world with its dogma against all other beliefs and religions can not be what Jesus envisioned from his teachings.
(Sidebar - A Google search of the basic teachings of Jesus brings up four books for sale listed first. Ah, yes, capitalism at its best...but I digress,,,)
I'm amazed that even with all the evil TFG has done to the nation and with all his lies and laws he's broken, there are STILL "Christians" that think of him as some sort of savior. They somehow think he was sent by God to save us and want him back in the White House instead of locked away where he belongs.
Trumpism has been defined as a cult and when a "Christian" cult leader can talk his flock into committing suicide like Jim Jones did, (yes, he was a "Christian" minister) everyone should be suspicious of anyone wanting anything from them. Especially since absolute power corrupts absolutely, no ones soul should ever be for sale.
Just like with global warming being at a tipping point, the political line is real clear and there are only two parties of government that represent us to choose from that have any effect on our lives. Better choose and vote correctly or we may end up finding that our children and their children will be asking us "So what did you do to help keep us from becoming this unconstitutional, illegal, political devastation of a nation?"
PS. Some will say these are just the ravings of a far left antifa radical. Partly true I guess as I am totally against fascism but always considered myself just a left leaning, fiscally conservative moderate. If speaking out on issues against freedom that bother me has become radical, then count me in.
