If you hadn’t heard, word salad spinner Sarah Palin lost her bid to become a congresswoman for Alaska in the state’s special runoff election. Even more important was that she lost, in Alaska, to Democratic candidate Mary Peltola. And so the final months of the late Republican U.S. Representative Don Young’s term will be filled, for the first time in 49 years, by a Democratic representative. Palin’s defeat couldn’t have happened to a nicer terrible person.
Palin is low-hanging fruit around these parts—she’s truly terrible and uniquely unimpressive as a person. She has been a gaff factory ever since Sen. John McCain hurled her into national prominence as a Hail Mary attempt at winning his presidential campaign against Barack Obama.
I have no problem with laughing at and enjoying this low-hanging fruit. Also, there’s a sad bakery cake and Sarah Palin down below.
