As an American, I guess I’m required to say something about 9/11 on this day. So I’ll just point out that, if nothing else, at least we are getting a break from the US media’s non-stop worship of the British monarchy. But as far as the actual events of 21 years ago, it’s hard to take any of the observances very seriously when more people are dying of Covid every week than were lost on 9/11, and nobody seems to care. I guess there’s no way to turn the Covid catastrophe into slavish adoration of cops and the military.
And that’s all I’ll say about that.
