Part 2 — This diary has over 25 cartoons on the new overlords in the US House of Representatives; their poster boy, George Santos; Facebook; and Ron DeSantis up to his usual racist tricks. It will include more cartoons on assorted issues in the comments section including several on police brutality.
- Part 1 — I have devoted the entire edition to the thorny issue of guns in American life. I hope you read my special comment on what guns are doing to society and the reputation of this country. Between the text of the diary and comments, there are over 40 editorial cartoons in it.
Thanks for supporting these diaries.

How Long Before George Santos Departs Congress?
I think his shady past is catching up to him. Once the US Department of Justice gets involved in a case like this, surely, it cannot end well.
We hardly knew ye, George Anthony Devolder Santos!
The Department of Justice has told the Federal Election Commission to hold off on any enforcement action against Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) in the DOJ’s clearest signal yet that it’s conducting its own criminal investigation into Santos’ campaign finances, The Washington Post reported Friday.
The Justice Department also asked the FEC to provide any relevant documents for an investigation, sources told the Post.
Embattled New York Rep. George Santos insists he will serve out his term and has indicated it's up to his constituents to reelect him or vote him out of office, despite mounting controversy over his past falsehoods, scrutiny of his finances and investigations in the U.S. and Brazil.
