This is an incredible shot — 3.8 km.
Another Russian air defense system deconstructs rapidly.
“Regrouping without a fight” = We ran like hell.
"The enemy advanced to the west and into the forest in the southwest. The enemy's advance became possible as a result of 'regrouping without a fight'. In total, 250 military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are present in the settlement."
Bradleys have been around a long time and have multiple variants. They are manufactured by BAE Systems Land and Armaments.
«"Bradley" withstood everything. The projectile hit under the starboard side, the gooseneck was damaged. The armor survived the fragments, but the shock wave tore the wiring in the car... The only case when "Bradley" did not withstand the impact was the work of helicopters, already in a week. Ka- 52 hit the cars, and one "Bradley" detonated. But there are cases when it was not detonated, when such blows were also withstood. In principle, this is a very reliable machine. This is not a BMP-2, where the entire crew dies, no. "Bradley" may be hit, but the crew survives. And the engine always thumps.»
Speaking of Bradleys … this one runs over a Russian soldier trying to hide.
Somebody needs to get her the recipe for Molotov cocktails. And tell her that bricks don’t burn.
This would be quite a tactical retreat goodwill gesture.
This is quite an incredible number. And yet Russia doesn’t care how many soldiers it loses.
Russia’s rampage of rape and sexual assault across Ukraine has been horrifying.
Gosh, must have been some faulty wiring or maybe a careless smoker.
This is in the Kremennoy District of Luhansk Oblast.
This isn’t an anti-war rally. It is a rally for the relatives of soldiers fighting in Ukraine who are complaining about conditions for their loved ones. Such complaints are not new. What is notable about this is that it is an authorized rally.
4/ According to an announcement of the event, "For more than a year now, our mobilized relatives have been defending the interests of the Motherland on the front line! Most of the fighters are there without rotation, many without vacations. A year, a whole year in the trenches!"
5/ "After being wounded, soldiers are sent to the front line again and again without treatment. They went to the Special Military Operation to protect their families. Our time has come to speak out in their defence!"
6/ The relatives want their men to be returned home, even if only temporarily. They are promoting slogans such as, "Bring back their fathers to the children," "those mobilised home," "rotation = justice".
7/ They list their demands in a Telegram post: "The period of stay of those mobilised in the Northern Military District is no more than 1 year; [Medical commissions] for all wounded;Expansion of the list of diseases for which a mobilised person is subject to a commission."
8/ The conditions experienced by the mobilised are causing widespread discontent. Men are frequently being kept indefinitely on the front line until they are either dead or too injured to continue fighting.
9/ In some examples quoted by the activists, "during this year my husband has never been on vacation; my husband/son was sent to the trenches untreated with such and such a diagnosis; ..."
10/ "My husband, being on the front line, became asthmatic, but no one is letting him go for treatment; my son has been dead for 2 months already, but they can’t retrieve him, they don’t declare him missing and dead, etc.)"
11/ As the human rights activist Sergei Krivenko has said: "Military personnel are now generally put in a slave position: they cannot resign, they are not allowed on leave or are released chaotically."
Must be a hell of a long train trip.
Hungary’s Orban vows to derail Ukraine’s bid to join the EU. Orban is like the wedding guest who stands up and objects.
Commander isn’t the only presidential dog that bites.
Some very good news.
Hopak comes from the Ukrainian word for jump. It’s a folk dance that originated with the Cossacks.
We all wish it was all over.
