If you don’t know me, I am an American Jew with some family and more friends, Arab and Jew, in Israel, and Muslim, Christian, and secular Palestinian friends in the the West Bank and here in the US.
I am not unbiased. When it comes to what side I support in the current conflict, I support the innocent. As far as I am concerned, there are no “Jewish” toddlers, no “Palestinian” 4 year-olds. There are simply toddlers and children.
As for the Big Picture, I support self-determination, peace and justice. And so, as an American, I don’t think it is my place to tell the people who live in Israel and Palestine what compromise solution to reach or how they work it out — just that they must, if they wish to get my support. One state, two state, red (black white and green) state, blue (and white) state. I don’t care. It’s up to them.
And I know it’s not that simple. But enough about me. What do you think? And more importantly, why?

At present, rumors abound that a five day cease fire including the return of hostages is in the mix. Just seven hours ago, Biden said a deal is immanent. If so, I support it.
