There are quite a few reports today that Ukraine used HIMARS missiles to hit a building in occupied Skadovsk, which is on the Black Sea coast in Kherson Oblast. The reports all indicate that this was a high-value target of Russian officials and that several were killed.
One report indicated the officials were not military, but FSB. More info, hopefully, will be forthcoming.
A Russian soldier in a trench throws himself on a drone-dropped grenade to save his comrade.
This is the opposite of a soldier throwing himself on a grenade.
It has been my opinion that one of the goals of Ukraine’s offensive across the Dnipro near Kherson is to suppress the Russian artillery pressure on the city, which has been intense.
Just as the drone is launched, the missile enters from stage left.
There is no absolutely truth to the report that passengers must bring their own spare parts with them.
At last report, the “butter” factory was churning with explosions.
Don’t hate me. I just report this stuff.
For all of Russia’s military ineptitude, they do manage to improve and adjust in places.
This gathering is a fleeting event, or time-sensitive target, so the Russians either had foreknowledge of it, or observed it by drone footage and had the ability to quickly call an Iskandr strike in - which is a CAA-level asset /3
I haven’t seen Russian forces strike a time-sensitive target like this with Iskandr SRBMs, correct me if I’ve missed one. Usually they are used them to target fixed sites (buildings, villages, bridges etc), because they want them to arrive on target, meaning, /4
..last week's strike against the 128th means they feel confident enough in their targeting loop to launch this type of missile against a time-sensitive target. It suggests improvement in their recon-strike loop. /5
Another interesting thread. This one suggests that Putin can’t stop the war because then he would have to deliver on domestic issues, which is like waiting for a snowy day in hell.
Everybody is a LOTR fan.
That’s a shame about your fancy schmancy air defense system.
It’s also a shame about your TOS-1 thermobaric MLRS. TOS must stand for Totally Obliterated Soldiers.
It looks pretty. It isn’t.
Should have stayed home with the grandkids.
Not unlike the Winged Victory of Samothrace.
Another joyous reunion.
She had a dream and it came true.
