Since being allowed back onto Twitter by insecure billionaire Elon Musk, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been demonstrating exactly why she was banned in the first place. Rep. Greene’s career is one poorly thought out and even more poorly worded conspiracy theory after another, so it isn’t surprising that her hot takes on social media are equally confused.
On Presidents’ Day, Greene attacked President Joe Biden for visiting Kyiv, Ukraine. A strange way to target your political opposition. But even before realizing that President Biden was about to surprise the world with a solid foreign policy showing on President’s Day, Greene was tweeting out an incomprehensibly offensive tweet about our country.
The representative, who was recently given an assignment on the House Homeland Security Committee, decided to tweet:
“We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s [sic] traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”
So, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to dissolve our United States? I feel like we’ve heard this concept before—back in 1860.

Greene’s attempt to reinvigorate the South for a new Civil War isn’t getting the responses she might hope, as “national divorce” began trending after responses ridiculed her “idea” on the social media platform. There are the facts of the matter, so to speak.
There are also the darker ramifications of what she is proposing.
And Greene’s personal history of being full of shit has become fair game.
Someone pointed out that this isn’t the first time since being let back on Twitter that Greene has promoted the concept of secession.
This response exchange won the day.
Will the Republican Party distance itself from this outright call for the dissolution of our country? Probably not.
