Officials say Casselman livestreamed and captured photos of the events during January 6.
A witness later told officials that he cut his hair and deleted his social media accounts afterwards. Federal officers say Casselman allegedly set up a new email account after January 6, telling agents of said email during a December 21, 2021 interview. Later investigations found an older email connected to him that showed Casselman allegedly searching for train trips to DC and hotels in the DC area.
After photos of the events were shared online, a witness was able to identify Casselman by the bookbag he had on, according to a statement of facts.
