I mentioned in my last weekly diary (scroll below the updates to read my comment) that I won’t necessarily be posting my diary on Sunday evenings ET. In the past, I had also occasionally posted it on Saturday or Monday. Moving forward, I will post it whenever time permits it.
I expect to post more editorial cartoons on other issues in the news either as updates to this diary or in the comments section.

Is the CNN rightward drift complete? It looks like it.
CNN is getting more Republicans on the air as it seeks political diversity, the chief executive of parent company Warner Bros Discovery said on Thursday, adding he and CNN chief Chris Licht have told Republicans “they’re not going to get one more vote on Fox News,” Reuters reports.
Is Donald Trump the strongest Republican to defeat Joe Biden in the General Election and regain the White House for the GOP? Senator John Cornyn has had enough and told the Dallas Morning News that Trump is damaged goods and that his time in the national limelight is over. Cornyn thinks that while Trump may be polling well with the Republican base, he will lose to Biden in 2024.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) “has joined the anyone-but-Trump caucus, becoming the most prominent Texas Republican to shun the former president’s 2024 comeback bid,” the Dallas Morning News reports.
Said Cornyn: “We need to come up with an alternative. I think President Trump’s time has passed him by and what’s the most important thing to me is we have a candidate who can actually win.”
Some think that Trump is more of a movement leader within the GOP rather than the party leader, and one who has contributed mightily to weakening the party. There is no question that the party under Trump has fared rather poorly — particularly in recent elections.
