Our latest Indivisible Truth Brigade campaigns are Back to School and Big Pharma, both much in the news now. Milton Friedman taught the Wrong-Wingers to hate the public schools as necessarily mouthpieces for government tyranny. He demanded vouchers for all, even to send children to segregated schools. He also claimed that market competition would always work to bring down prices. No matter how often these claims are falsified, the Wrong Wing can’t give them up. So we have to do the work, now that we are in the majority and have started clearing away the deadwood.
We have been doing various campaigns about the problems of school-age children.
Here is the new one.
I cannot adequately express how vile PragerU is, with its explicit Global Warming denial, its support for enslavement, and its vicious attacks on wokeness, among other ills, and its dark money funding from climate denialists and wackadoodle Christianists.
We don’t normally repeat lies, to avoid giving them more oxygen, but that’s just general advice, not a hard and fast rule. These videos are now officially approved to be shown to children in schools in Florida and Oklahoma, so I made an exception.
The Biggest Lie is that investment in the people, with huge returns, is “spending”. Obscene tax cuts for the rich, weapons systems that DoD doesn’t want and can’t use, and fossil fuel subsidies are totally wasteful spending. Racists hate investments in anyone but them, but at the same time they reject any government aid for themselves in favor of Starve the Beast tax cuts for the rich. You can see this in the fact that so many Red states lag so far behind others on every economic, social, and human rights measure.
Always remember that we are the majority, and they are shrinking away by their own doing. That includes chasing out millions of their own children.
It is a general popular error to suppose the loudest complainers for the publick to be the most anxious for its welfare.
Edmund Burke, once the Father of Conservatism, but today just another lousy knee-jerk, bleeding-heart, tax-and spend Librul.
Many in Gen Z will reach voting age in time to vote next year. They don’t show up in Registered Voter screens, because they cannot legally register yet. They don’t show up in Likely Voter screens, because they have never had a chance to vote. That means that all conventional polls are massively undercounting Democrats.
Hmm. More Truth Sandwich material.
