OK, folks. It's Sunday (Oops, that's tomorrow, so this is the Sermon Early Edition). What would Jesus do? More importantly, what would Democrats and Republicans do? Republicans claim that both sides are corrupt. They have a valid point there, but both-siderism can only go so far. It's who supports the crooks in their party, and who kicks them out.
.
For Democrats, take Senator Bob Menendez. He's corrupt as hell, and has been charged with Bribery (Note: It was Democratic prosecutors who indicted him). Democrats want him out of the party, and are attempting to force him to resign from the Senate, even though it would hurt their slim majority until a new Senator is appointed to take his place.
.
On the other hand..... Holy shit. We have a 4 time indicted, twice impeached, convicted of rape in a civil suit, owner of a slush fund that he used to pay off hookers and porn stars, who attempted to overthrow a duly elected government, who held back from Ukraine weapons they needed to survive Russia, unless they announced a fake investigation against his political opponent, who called John McCain (a war hero) a traitor, and..... If I keep giving examples here, it will end up exceeding the entire storage space of the server, and cause it to crash. What are Republicans doing about him? They are not only defending him, they are also supporting him in his Quixotic quest to once again become president so he avoid prison by pardoning himself for all crimes he ends up being convicted of.
.
Meanwhile, we have Jim Jordan, who wants to charge someone with contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over private data from voting machines. This is especially rich, since Jordan himself broke the law by refusing to answer a subpoena himself. What is richer is how Jordan claims to be holier-than-thou, even though turned his back on all those student athletes who were raped by their trainer at Ohio State. Republicans made him head of the Judiciary committee.
.
And then, there is Lauren Boebert, who jacked off her date in a crowded theater where children also were, while blowing vape in the face of a pregnant woman. And how about George Santos? How about Ken Paxton of Texas, who is going to court on corruption charges, but survived impeachment by a Republican run Texas Senate? I could go on, but you get my drift.
.
So, back to "both sides do it". Yes, Democrats can be corrupt, but where there is evidence (and this is key), the party is quick to condemn it. As for Republicans, corruption is not a problem. It's a feature. So fuck this both sides bullshit, because that is exactly what it is. Cow patty nothing burgers. Where’s the beef?
