Howdy all, it’s another Saturday night and the world has kept turning, which is always nice. Been a rough one for me, I got a bad case of bronchitis and an ear infection in my “good” ear, which is not fun, and I only got my meds Thursday evening after going to the Doc in a Box on Wednesday. I have antibiotics, Robitussin and the Qyls (Day and Night) and drops for my ear, so it should all pretty much be over by school on Tuesday.
I missed a couple of classes, one to a migraine and the other to the bronchitis, so I’m a little bit behind, but I have the actual text book to review, and I have online homework I am staying on top of so I should be fine — we also have a comprehensive review before the first test. I can always get a tutoring session in as well at the Learning Center at the college. It helped me out a good deal with algebra last semester.
The other thing that has been stressing me out is just being too invested in the political turmoil in our country right now, and it’s making me feel like crap. Yes, registered to vote, planning to do so, glad the “Proud Boys” are getting longer prison sentences and all that — but that trump fucker needs to be locked up.
I am thinking of going to the gym a couple of days a week — I apparently can get a free gym membership close by though my health insurance at no cost to me, which is nice, and I talked to my physical therapist about some exercises I could do that wouldn’t aggravate my shoulder or knees too much. I’m tired of being fat and tired, and the gym is in the same shopping center as my PT and my barber (which reminds me I need a haircut soon) and is a 4 minute drive. It’s also open 24 hours, which is nice, because I don’t like to work out where people can see me because obese. Mind you I’m 275 obese not 550 obese, but still, it’s not a good look or feeling over all. I do walk on campus, but that is only 2 days a week and gets me about a mile each day. I’ve also been a little overindulgent on the sweets of late and that needs to stop as well. The meal prep is helping a lot, but sometimes you just want a danish.
I’ll be around after Shabbat ends to chat with folks and do my hosting duties, hope to see you all there!
