Hello everyone. As a postal worker here in Indiana I’ve noticed a trend and would like to hear everyone’s take on it: the post office branches in my area including my own have all run out of postcard stamps. Repeatedly. We get some in and they’re all gone within a day or two. Demand has been just crazy.
In case you didn’t know these are cheaper stamps for something smaller than your standard letter like a postcard or maybe…say a GOTV card.
We’ve been selling them by the hundreds (per customer) to what seems to me like Harris supporters — mostly enthusiastic and engaged middle aged or older ladies of all race/cultural backgrounds. TBH I’m making assumptions here based on appearances and comments from many of them. There is an enthusiasm here among women that I would have a hard time believing could be inspired by a rapist but I admit I could be wrong. In fact in my own experience tRumpers aren’t exactly enthusiastic this time they’re just all angry it seems.
Now as a (quasi) government employee I scrupulously avoid talking politics with customers so I can’t really say they’re all Harris supporters but customers do talk and out of dozens of quick over-the-counter conversations only one has indicated their dislike of Harris.
Now the big question is whether this is indicative of anything. This is my first political season working in customer service for the USPS so I truly don’t know if this is normal. Was kinda hoping you all would tell me
