OK, I failed.

I cannot remain silent anymore.

I voted some time ago.[Vermont]

I have spent a great deal of my time speaking with my family.

There is fear even partaken by my Republican brother-in-law and this made me think WTF.

Since when do elections cause real fear? Usually, it is of the level of facepalm, not actual fear.

This is not the case of how “we” could be so stupid, but one of life-changing stupidity.

The common wisdom is that this election will be close.

How?

Misogyny, racism, and hatred of  Democracy/ the Constitution?

As an expat in the EU, I notice that we are not prepared for a Putin-mini-Putin axis in which NATO does not include its most powerful founding member. Militarily and economically we will be twice screwed.

Project 2025 was scary enough on its own

But the Trump/Tech-Billionaires/Putin union promises a whole new world of climate and planetary degradation lying in the ruins of democracy.

Throw in RFK Jr going wild.

I shudder to think.

I think some of us will have to reconsider how we define resistance movements, we might end up being them. [Remember the Sufragettes]

I hope it does not happen.
