A eulogy for Donald Trump
I originally posted the above story on October 23, 2020, on the eve of the last election. I wrote out what I would say the day the “official spokesman for the Lord above” finally has to explain himself to God in person.
Trigger warning: My judgement is pretty harsh. Some people wiil say I go to far.
But when you read it, keep in mind that it was written before Trump invented a giant stolen election conspiracy out of nothing, before he personally ordered an attack on the government of the people of the United States, and before he fled for his life in a cowardly fashion from the incoming new President Joe Biden.
And also before he spent four years trashing the nation he let down, calling it the worst in the world, four years spouting every lie he could think of and repeating every one he heard, of calling all his opponents every dirty name he could imagine and accusing them of every crime that exists and a hundred more that don’t exist.
I stand by every word I wrote back then. It’s all twice as true now as it was when I originally posted it. If anything I was too easy on him.
You be the judge.
