Vice President Kamala Harris spent this week overseeing and providing aid and comfort to survivors of Hurricane Helene, uniting across party lines to protect and defend our constitution, standing with organized labor, and commemorating the October 7th terrorist attacks on Israel.
Tuesday (Oct 1), VP Harris was in Washington, DC, conducting interviews with several media outlets, (Ruchard Elliot of WSB-TV in Atlanta, John Delano of KDKA TV Pittsburgh and Alex Cooper of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast (aired on Sunday (Oct 6)), and performing her official duties as Vice President (speaking with Asheville Mayor Esther Mannheimer, monitoring Iran’s attack on Israel with President Biden and our national security team and speaking to the press).
Wednesday (Oct 2), VP Harris was in Augusta, Georgia to support response and recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. She met with state and local officials and first responders, with families impacted by Hurricane Helene, served food at Henry Bingham Community Center and delivered remarks to the press.
Thursday (Oct 3), Vice President Kamala Harris was in Ripon, Wisconsin, birthplace of the Republican party, where she delivered remarks at a rally where she was introduced and endorsed by Liz Cheney.

Friday (Oct 4), VP Harris spoke to union firefighters and members from several other unions, at the Redford Fire Department Station 1 in Redford, Michigan.
Later in the day, VP Harris delivered remarks at a campaign rally held at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan. Magic Johnson was there to endorse VP Kamala Harris.

While in Michigan, VP Harris met with leaders of the Muslim advocacy group, Emgage Action and the American Task Force for Lebanon.
Saturday (Oct 5), Vice President Kamala Harris visited Charlotte, North Carolina, where she attended a Hurricane Helene briefing from FEMA, state and local officials, visited a resource donation center where she helped assemble necessities kits, and spoke with members of the North Carolina National Guard, before delivering remarks to the press.

Monday (Oct 7) Vice President Kamala Harris one year since Hamas’ October 7th terrorist attacks, speaking at her residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., along with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. After their remarks, VP Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff planted a pomegranate tree, which in Judaism is a symbol of hope and righteousness.
After the ceremony, VP Harris spoke to the press at Joint Base Andrews, MD, addressing Hurricane Milton and reports that Governor DeSantis of Florida is not taking calls from the White House on hurricanes’ resources and help.
Monday evening CBS aired their 60 Minutes interview with Vice President Harris, part of which was recorded during her visit to Ripon, Wisconsin and part in Washington, D.C..
