Several media outlets are reporting that interest in the 4B movement, a “radical” feminist movement that originated in South Korea has skyrocketed since Trump won the election. For those unfamiliar with what the 4B movement is, it is a movement stated by some South Korean women in regard to the rampant sexism, abuse, and exploitation of women in that country. The term 4B stands for the four Korean words bihon, bichulsan, biyeonae and bisekseu, or the four “no’s” --no marriage, no childbearing, no dating or sex with men.
And while recent MSM would have one believe the 4B movement is something new, the fact of the matter is that over the last several years, more women of all ages are choosing to remain single—either by not getting married at all, or staying single after a divorce—in fact, only 38% of single women vs 61% of single men are interested in dating at all. And the reason more women want to remain single is because of the toxic behavior of large numbers of men, especially on dating apps.
And given this country’s track record in regard to women’s rights, is it any wonder so many women are swearing off men altogether?
Here in the USA, we live in country where roughly 15-20% of all women have experienced a completed or attempted rape—and 1 in 3 of these women first experienced a completed or attempted rape between the ages of 11 and 17. 81% of US women report experiencing some sort of sexual abuse or harassment in their lifetime.
1 in 4 women have been the victim of severe physical violence at the hands of an intimate partner. As many as 60% of domestic abusers also abuse the children in the household.
What I cited above is, of course, just the tip of the iceberg—as the thousands of women and girls who have been forced to carry their rape pregnancies to term can attest to.
I expect the 4B movement to grow—how many women are going to want to risk their lives should they become pregnant and need an abortion to save their lives if it becomes illegal all across the country? Or even, if they survive the miscarriage, be put in jail for a suspected abortion? And if birth control is made illegal, it will be nearly impossible for women to avoid repeated pregnancies if they are in a sexual relationship with a man.
In light of this, people shouldn’t act like they are shocked that so many young women want to get their tubes tied. (And if anybody knows a young woman who is having a hard time getting this done, I know a feminist doctor who will do it for younger women without being patronizing toward them the way so many doctors do.) I would also advise any woman who is sure she does not want children to get her tubes tied ASAP, before the 2025 goons make that illegal too.
If certain Republicans get their way, no fault divorce could soon be outlawed as well—trapping women in abusive relationships for the rest of their lives. Any woman who is not happy in her marriage—or worse, being abused-- would do well to consider divorce as soon as possible. While they still can—at least in my opinion.
You can’t blame the women who join 4B when we live in a country that lets women die of miscarriages in the name of one group’s “religion” and forces 10-year-old girls to have babies by pedophiles—and when this is what the majority of voters in this country wanted when they elected a rapist to the presidency.
Unfortunately, most white men in this country voted Republican, showing they have little to no respect for the women of this country at all, along with 53% of white women (who show they have no respect for themselves.) In a country like this, 4B may represent the only way many single women will be able to live their lives with any measure of peace, safety, health, or freedom.
And thank you, all the men who are our allies, and who love and respect the women in their lives.
