Surviving the coming Trumpocalypse, Part 4

One hundred years ago, Republican Herbert Hoover ran on a platform of reducing government regulation. Fast forward to today, and the Republican platform—led by the cretin who wants to make Hoover look good—is promising the same, along with a boatload of hate and lies. 

No society can long stand against the truth. Shakespeare said the truth will out. Jesus, the truth will set you free. Unfortunately, for the US, for now, the truth has to be hidden inside of a locker buried in a cave covered in concrete. It will eventually come out—after Trump has destroyed the country and much of the world.

With the help of the religious right, they are perverting and corrupting the true teachings of Christ. Cardinal Dolan of New York recently featured the convicted rapist and charity thief as its guest of honor at its Catholic Charities fete. People of good faith—religious or not—are feeing overwhelmed.

A  word about the ‘anointment’ of Trump. Far from being a sign of God’s grace, his election is a sign of how far America has fallen. We have sown the wind, we will reap the whirlwind. Think the Spanish Civil War. It’s going to be a long couple years. Get your mind around that. But we are not without ammunition to fight this grotesque malfeasance of a man and his soon-to-be administration. More about that to come.
