I am not sure how many of you are aware of the fuckery in Erie PA with mail in ballots.
A significant group of people who requested them didn’t get them because they were not ready. I heard about 15,000. Keep in mind, Erie is a bellwether county in PA and Biden won it by only about 1500 votes total.
Dems outpaced Rs by about 2 to 1 in requesting those ballots so this was really concerning and stressful. And suspicious (imho)
From what I heard, the R county executive outsourced the ballots to an Ohio firm that has 6 employees and 2 are dogs. Not kidding. That is what I heard.
Anyway, I was in Erie launching canvassers and this was a big issue we were teaching canvassers about so they knew what to do.
The local group was waiting for a list from the Harris people of all the likely Dem voters in that 15,000 so they could be contacted directly.
The list came through Saturday night and an emergency operation was put into place.
I organized a big group from the other Erie Count (NY) to make calls.
And I was one of many!
So far, people have been really successful in instructing Dem voters on what to do.
We will not be cowed by this!
I wrote to my contact in Erie PA and here is what he wrote back:
I an awed by the way, in a 24 hour period, we formed an integrated team of canvassers, phone callers, drivers, and legal representatives to identify and support the voters who are missing their ballots. I really don't know how many callers we have because many callers recruited friends who in turn recruited other callers. I am getting messages from NY, California, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Virginia, with specific questions about the database or special circumstances that need local attention. It's a beautiful sight and a beautiful feeling to be part of this special moment in our lives. Further is the knowledge that the Erie Effort is part of a much larger moment. In Pennsylvania on Saturday we were knocking doors at the rate of 2,000 doors per minute. When I say thank you for all you are doing, I mean it
You just know the Rs aren’t doing anything at all to address their 5000 voters in that group.

So maybe, just maybe, this particular fuckery will come back on them.
