How do Western governments continue to give any credibility to anything coming from Israeli Sources without double-checking and investigating the sources beats me? If you are not sure don’t give credence to the claims.

How Netanyahu Leveraged Leaked and False 'Hamas Documents' as the Hostage Protests Were Surging -Paywall.
One Week in September
-
September 1 - Six Israeli hostages declared murdered in Hamas captivity
-
September 2 - Netanyahu holds a press conference where he presents the "Hamas document" published by Amit Segal, and warns that Hamas may smuggle the hostages to Iran via the Philadelphi Route
-
September 5 - The Jewish Chronicle publishes a false report claiming that Hamas plans to smuggle the hostages out of Gaza through the Philadelphi Route
-
September 6 - German tabloid Bild publish a document supposedly outlining Hamas's strategy
-
September 8 - The IDF announces it has launched an investigation into the leak of the document to Bild, stating it "constitutes a serious offense"
-
September 8 - Netanyahu responds to the Bild publication, hinting that the protesters advocating for the hostages' return are "falling into Hamas's trap"
This fallacy was then regurgitated in the unquestioning Western and Israeli echo chamber, that same echo chamber that has repeated propaganda as absolute truth without lifting a finger to verify. What the hell are the thousands of “foreign journalists” actually doing in Israel, going on IDF vacation tours?
To propagate this falsehood further
On Friday, the Rishon Letzion Magistrate's Court permitted the publication of information indicating that several individuals had been arrested over the past week on suspicion of "security offenses related to the unauthorized disclosure of classified information," as part of the classified document leak investigation from the Prime Minister's Office.
President of the court, Judge Menahem Mizrahi, narrowed the gag order in response to a request from Haaretz and other media outlets, stating in his decision that the investigation – managed by the Shin Bet, police, and IDF – deals with "the risk to sensitive information and sources, as well as the potential hindrance to achieving the war's objectives in Gaza." Among the war objectives in Gaza, as defined by the security cabinet, is the "resolution of the hostage issue."
Netanyahu argued that the German report, which claimed Hamas is not interested in a deal and seeks to increase pressure on the hostages' families, "only aided the effort to bring back the hostages and certainly did not harm it." He stated that "the document and the article exposed Hamas's tactics of applying psychological pressure on the government and Israeli public, blaming Israel for the failed hostage negotiations."
Since the start of the war "we have witnessed a flood of targeted and criminal leaks from secret Cabinet meetings and closed security discussions." Netanyahu added, "It is very puzzling why, out of all these leaks, this particular document – whose contents were known to all and benefited the State of Israel – has received such an aggressive and targeted investigation."
It is a shame that all this outrage stemmed from a fake document leaked by Israel's Prime Minister. Pity? No?
Which is worse, Israel’s lies about Gaza or its western backers who repeat those lies? =The Guardian
There are almost too many lies, distortions and falsehoods to keep track of. Forty babies beheaded by Hamas? Never happened. Babies baked in ovens or hung on clothes lines? False. A Bond-villain-style lair hidden under al-Shifa hospital? Nope. Palestinians in Gaza caught on camera faking their injuries? A complete fabrication. The list of Hamas hostage-takers found on a wall in the al-Rantisi children’s hospital? Sorry, no, it was just the days of the week on a calendar in Arabic.
Timeline on repeat:
• Israel commits massacre
• Israel denies massacre
• Media says we don’t know who committed massacre
• investigation reveals Israel committed massacre
• News cycle moves on
• average person doesn’t know Israel systematically committing massacres.
Crucially, referring to the Israeli government’s explosive claim that Unrwa employees were involved in Hamas attacks, Colonna’s report said that “Israel has yet to provide supporting evidence” for these claims. It also pointed out how Unrwa actually “shares staff lists” every year with both Israel and the United States and revealed that “the Israeli Government has not informed UNRWA of any concerns relating to any UNRWA staff based on these staff lists since 2011”.
Since 2011. So it was all a lie. From Israel. Again.
My base state is that I believe nothing issuing out of the mouths of any of the “leaders” in the region [or anywhere else for that matter] without independent proof/verification.
The reality is that too many innocent people are being displaced, injured, starved, and killed and this must stop,
Just a muse
