Wednesday morning Nov. 6th
Almost the same feeling as on January 6th 2021
I have a life. I need to pick up my two year old grandson. I meet him at my son’s law office when we babysit Finn. I will throw myself back into real life. I am rather discouraged. I am simply going to build a better life for my family.
I do envision a better way to structure a modern political party.
People want revolutionary change but refuse to break the patterns of repeating the past. Much of the effort in advertising, door knocking, and rallies is wasted in the modern age. People do not read newspapers, often toss the mailers, they do not join clubs, they often order delivered food and do not go to cafes. There are multiple groups on social media desperately wanting to elect Democrats. They are not tied to specific percents and congressional districts. They are able to coordinate with Democratic organization like the DNC.
Many will be looking to assign blame. There is but one root cause, oligarchy that manipulates and bribes our politics. Corporate money floats untenable candidates. The powers of persuasion and exploitation are in the hands of the oligarchs. People are manipulated to scream for policies and vote for those who support the opposite in government.
Everyone is appalled Trump has any support, but MAGA was assured he would win or be cheated.
It is a stressful time. Will America the idea survive?

We need a restructure of the Democratic Party. This implosion may prompt an awareness that the time has come to truly democratize the Democratic Party.
We have chased the model of Corporate Funded Republicans. The Clinton era Democrats did succeed partially but the top down approach has often failed. It has again.
We need to use information age tools to organize on a precinct level. Each local region needs the ability to interact. Thus is possible and would cost less money than has been spent in futility the last several elections, ever since Obama 2008.
Obama’s campaign had a good idea where people could create their own page in an online community. It was not continued or developed. We face a diverse online landscape now. People interact on various social media platforms. Mostly they chase from one to the another as people always ruin every platform.
We need a digital organization structure. The old county and state party structures are a relic of the 19th century. People have fled churches, legion halls close, you can barely get anyone to go to the movie theaters.
By combining registered voter roles with local volunteers each precinct could be a contact point. Our party elected officials and campaign staff could interact more directly. It would keep people in contact with voters everywhere not left to relay on national reports heading to coffee shops in Bozeman Montana.
A digital grassroots will grow a healthy forrest and a future for good government. The GOP policies are unpopular. A culture of grievance, gripe over false beliefs, and alienation has grown to fifty percent of the voters, not fifty percent of the citizens. We are leaving far too many behind.
It would cost less money, have more impact to build a true party in our modern age. It keep in contact know who had mailed in their ballots who might need a ride or help registering. We throw effort and resources without a managed plan. The landscape has changed.
The corporate oligarchy wants campaigns to seek large sums to waste on ads and advisors. It keeps their interests protected as both parties do not want to lose the big donors. Begging for donations and ignoring the simple process of interacting with people is not the way. It makes the Democratic Party the coin flip, the either or, the both sides are the same Party.
New thought must break the fossilized patterns of thinking about how interact with people and voters.
I am going back to my own life — I do not blame; I am withdrawing.
