Seventh car hit by gunfire in Raleigh near I-40, NC State police assist investigation
May have nothing to do with the election, but some odd things going on with cars being shot at around Raleigh.
Shots were fired into another car near Interstate 40 on Thursday, close to where Raleigh police are already investigating a string of shootings that happened earlier this week.
Sort of scary, and so far not a lot of information about these incidents.
Thursday's shooting was at least the seventh car hit by gunfire in the area this week, although it remains unknown if the shootings are all connected.
"This is an active investigation, and it is currently unknown whether this incident is related to previous reports," police said on Thursday.
Multiple cars were hit by gunfire on Wednesday morning along Interstate 40 near Chapel Hill Road.
The calls stemmed from a stretch of I-40 in Raleigh and Cary from Chapel Hill Road to Gorman Street to Buck Jones Road.
Otherwise around here things seem quiet.
