Guys and gals, formerly (or even now) with the CIA’s clandestine service, I ask you: How in the f’ing hell can known Russian asset Donald J. Trump receive a classified clearance now? After all we now know about him? e.g. we know he has met alone with Putin, without any other Americans present. He has said he has spoken with Putin as a private citizen in the recent past while Biden has been president. Most alarmingly, we know that he has mishandled classified information which included ID of sources (HUMINT) and his taking office coincided with the disappereance of numerous informants.
Re: the classified documents Trump took to Mara Lago:
When F.B.I. agents … went through the 15 boxes of material turned over to the National Archives by Mr. Trump … they quickly determined that they contained 184 documents marked as classified, including some labeled HCS — an especially troublesome revelation in the eyes of intelligence experts.
(note: “HCS” = Human Intelligence Control System, i.e. informants)
“HCS information is tightly controlled because disclosure could jeopardize the life of the human source,” said John B. Bellinger III, a former legal adviser to the National Security Council in the George W. Bush administration. “It would be reckless to declassify an HCS document without checking with the agency that collected the information to ensure that there would be no damage if the information were disclosed.”
C.I.A. espionage operations inside numerous hostile countries have been compromised in recent years when the governments of those countries have arrested, jailed and even killed the agency’s sources.
I mean seriously, WTF? This POS belongs nowhere near any of the levers of power, let alone at the top of it all as commander in chief! He is a national security threat. He is an enemy of the state.
