I wrote a diary a few days ago about my advocation for Ken Martin as the new DNC Chairman.
This was on the condition of choosing between him, Martin O’Malley, and Rahm Emanuel.
Things have changed, as of today, however.
The dream choice has finally thrown his hat into the ring.

Ben Wikler boasts all of the positives that I gave to Ken Martin and more, rebuilding the Wisconsin DNC Party back up from the ashes and turning the DNC into a viable fighting machine in the pivotal swing state. I will let the man briefly introduce himself:
As Wikler states, we saw a nationwide 6 point swing in favor of Donald Trump. Wikler managed to cull that swing down to 1.5 points, win the Democrats a majority on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, flip 14 legislative seats in Wisconsin, and get Tammy Baldwin reelected to the US Senate.
Most importantly, Ben Wikler once served as the producer on Al Franken’s radio show and was the producer of the progressive action group MoveOn, being a player in the battle to save the Affordable Care Act. Even better, Ben Wikler used to be a producer for Air America, a podcaster, and a headline writer for the Onion.
No matter whether we are Progressive or Moderate, all Democrats can agree that our messaging to the public is weak, ineffective, and impotent compared to the MAGA juggernauts of FOX News and the Far-Right independent media (Joe Rogan). Wikler is the guy who can fix our messaging and turn the DNC into a competitive fighting force against Fascism that can actually deal decisive blows. How can we ask for a better messaging person than a podcaster that wrote headlines for the Onion???
Ben Wikler himself has stated that as DNC Chair he:
“[vows] to take on Trump, Republican extremists, and move our country forward… Our values — the core belief that our economy should work for working people, and that every person has inherent dignity and deserves freedom and respect — are American values… they’re not MAGA values. The richest and most powerful people want to divide us and enrich themselves.
We’ve got to make sure that we are reaching people with the message that we are on their side and fighting for them.
For Democrats, this is a critical time to unite and fight back against Trump’s plans.”
This man has been in the game since he was 11. Wikler clearly possesses the strength and determination of the soul to stand for liberty and freedom. He is the one we need to fight Trump, and we have to do everything we can to support him.
To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln:
“We cannot spare this man; he fights.”
