Peace through Beauty

I am and always have been more musical than I have been verbal. I have always found beauty in sound. Often it can be purely instrumental, such as playing Bach on either a cello or piano — have in the distant past done both with some facility, but now I am old and a survivor of a stroke and I no longer play.

But I still listen, especially when I need some respite from turmoil and even possible despair. And I listen especially to choral music, even though I can no longer sing.

So below the fold I will offer a number of youtube videos of beautiful and peaceful music, many associated with the season we are entering. You may have to get beyond the ads in some cases, but trust me, each of them is well worth your listening.
