Following up on what I wrote yesterday — Yup, this happened.
As revealed by the New York Post.
President-elect Trump told The Post Saturday he supports immigration visas for highly skilled workers, appearing to side with Elon Musk in the roiling intra-MAGA debate on the issue.
“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump said by phone, referring to the H-1B program, which permits companies to hire foreign workers in specialty occupations.
“I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program,” added Trump, who restricted access to foreign worker visas in his first administration and has been critical of the program in the past.

Musk and other tech barons argued this week that the H-1B visa program is critical to ensuring American companies can find highly skilled labor which may not be easily available in the U.S. labor force and must be expanded.
MAGA hardliners want Trump to follow through with his promise to promote US workers and impose tougher restrictions on immigration.
Trump’s Saturday comments come a day after Musk vowed to go to “war” on the issue, telling one mocking opponent to go “f–k yourself.”
So not that shocking, he just tossed "America First" under the Greyhound and now supports Elon and Vivek telling Americans workers that they're "lazy and dumb" and also "culturally backward" compared to Indians.
I mean really, this is about worker pay and the fact that even if these Tech Companies advertise an engineering job for $40k with 60-hour workweeks and no overtime they aren't going to get any Americans willing to do that job.
The MAGAs have been trained to hate the immigrants that are willing to take these jobs rather than hate the companies and corporations that are more than willing to exploit the people who are unfortunate enough circumstances to have to take them.
The entire reason that our immigration is "broken" in the first place is because it's designed to provide a helpless desperate low-wage workforce for the greater profits of Big Agriculture and Big Tech.
It's about time middle Americans — and racist White Boys — finally learn who their real enemy has always been.
And generally, their skin tone isn't black or brown.
Getting worse. Steve Bannon is blasting Elon now.
Not a good look.
I don't think that stain is coming out in the wash.
In response to this, MAGAs are losing their minds.
Trump didn't post about the subject on social media, instead releasing a statement through a conservative outlet. But on Trump's other Truth Social posts, there's a flood of his own supporters complaining about his latest pro-immigration take.
Several of those comments appear on a simple photograph of Trump, which Trump himself posted without any comment round the time the statement was released.
Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief of the National Pulse, said, "Denounce mass migration of H1Bs!"
A Truth Social user by the name of Joseph, who is known as @realconservitive and proudly boasts he has never voted for a Democrat, said, "#H1BVisa kills American jobs! PUT AMERICA FIRST AS PROMISED! Or MAGA will be destroyed!"
"Labor shortage in tech industry is a big lie. Don’t listen to F ing Elon!" the user added.
A user who claims to have voted for Trump, Aaronminus, also weighed in.
"Clarify your position on this now. Are you selling us out to Big Tech? Or are you America First? 'Buy American Hire American'? Remember?" the user wrote.
Another user who identifies as a "long time Trump supporter," jeighner, said, "I work in the tech industry and have seen the abuse of H1B."
"An MSP company I worked for merged with another. They kept everyone for about a year, and everything seemed good at first and promised people raises. That never happened," they wrote on Saturday. "Then they put everyone on worse insurance plans and stopped matching 401k. Finally, they started bringing in H1Bs and let all the long-term employees go after we trained our replacements. They were not better skilled."
Another Trump supporter, Andrew Graf, who has a photo of Trump hugging a flag for a profile photo, simply said, "Abolish H1B!!!!!!!!!!!!"
So I think they're taking it about as expected.
