I don’t like that it happened, but I can understand why people would want him dead, given the reports of UHC denying coverage to patients, which in this day and age, can mean that those patients die for lack of treatment.
To any of you who feel this is “gloating”, I ask you to imagine it was one of your relatives who was denied coverage and ended up dying because of it. To imagine how you would feel to know that this man, and others like him, felt their balance sheet was more important than a human life.
I say this because I am quite sickened by the moral scolding of people who have obviously not even considered how they might react if they felt that an insurance company had effectively sentenced someone they loved to death because their accountants decided not to pay for a lifesaving procedure.
I would like to think that, were I in their shoes, I would not resort to murder, but I am honest enough with myself to admit that it would be very tempting, especially if said company were making record profits.
