Should Biden Step Aside?
No, Biden should not 'step aside.'
Instead, the media should start telling the truth and stop comparing Biden and Trump as equivalent candidates. The media should stop the 'journalist-as-star' focus on themselves and that which will get the most attention as opposed to what represents a thoughtful and honest reality. Stop using false equivalent journalism to fake being 'balanced.' There is nothing balanced in this election cycle and it is Trump, not Biden, who should have to step aside.
Biden's success in the White House has been remarkable. He's gotten impressive America-centered legislation passed to include his fantastic turn around of the economy. Biden has been 'gaffe' prone and forgetful for decades. It is nothing new and the media should stop making it front page after front page. How did Hillary's emails work out? How did James Comey's political indictment of Hillary Clinton just before the elections work out?

This is grossly irresponsible media behavior - again. The media at Biden's spontaneous press conference last week were uniformly rude and impolite. Biden should have told everyone to sit down and advise that he would hold a regular, respectful press conference which included hands up to be called on. But Biden tried to accommodate instead. And he paid for it...
The media NEVER pushes that hard on Trump - who is a violent criminal, racist and dangerous White Nationalist. Trump is directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of unnecessary COVID deaths. He almost killed the American economy. Trump’s absurdist trade war with China and tariffs, which he’s promised to repeat, drove huge numbers of family farms into bankruptcy.
The media NEVER demands real answers from Trump. Trump would crumble were he to be exposed to even half the media behavior shown Biden last week. But that would screw up the next batch of media book deals, wouldn't it?
Trump is NOT a normal candidate. He is not comparative to Biden in any form or dimension. Not on any planet. He is deeply ignorant, incurious, and narcissistic. He is running for president primarily as an attempt to avoid prosecution and seek revenge. He is a multiply indicted criminal to include violations of the espionage act and a violent insurrection which killed about 6 and injured over 140 cops - some receiving career ending injuries and life long disabilities.
Trump is a violent racist who has promised to create (concentration) camps for undocumented Latinos. He just told Putin he could attack European nations who didn't pay into NATO adequately (which he seems to think goes directly to the US) while promising to end America’s shared commitment to NATO — thereby encouraging WW 3. It also sounds like the same extortion he tried on Zelensky - but far more deadly dangerous.
In addition to advocating violence; attacking the media and law enforcement, Trump's public comments are not just the occasional gaffe but deeply delusional and unstable with repeated factual errors. Trump has been held liable for sexual assault and defamation. Twice. Trump continues to engage stochastic terrorism and is escalating his use of targeted violence.
We need to increasingly hold the media to account by challenging their behavior while providing accuracy and context. Dark Brandon must stop playing defense and being reactive but take the lead on offense. Doing so has been when Biden has performed the best. And Democrats, along with Democratic operatives, must do the same. America depends on it
It is Trump who should 'step aside' - not Biden. The media must grow up and remember how authentic journalism operates
