As some of you may know, I am the author of the Kos column “Regenerative Agriculture”. I have a demonstration plot in NW MO which I began almost exactly a year ago. To get to the plot, I drive over 200 miles on a variety of rural roads and I usually take different routes as there is no direct path. One of my observations was the number of Trump yard signs. They began appearing shortly after leaving the bedroom communities of Kansas City MO. In front of one rural machine repair shop were several large signs and of course in the small towns.
This year, on the same routes, I only saw two. The machine shop that had numerous signs before only had one. The rest had been removed. In one other town was another sign that was attached to the side of a building. I expected that this close to an election and with primaries currently being held, new signs would have been erected.
Makes me wonder about the polls we are seeing.
Back to my demonstration plot. On my 200 mile trip, I never saw one field that had a cover crop planted. For those who are unfamiliar with regenerative agriculture, a cover crop is the bare minimum. Regenerative agriculture is a positive step toward halting our climate changes and is supported by our government.
I haven’t seen anyone mention this on Daily Kos, but I thought it was important, so from Raw Story
“Why are conservatives calling for the end of American democracy? At the CPAC meeting this week, a well-known rightwing influencer, Jack Posobiec, went off on a rant about how important it is for conservatives to band together to end democracy in America and, presumably, replace it with Christofascism like in Russia. “Welcome to the end of democracy!” he declared. “We’re here to overthrow it completely. We didn’t get all the way there on January 6th, but we will endeavor to get rid of it and replace it with this right here,” he said as he held up a cross. “That’s right, because all glory is not to government, all glory to God.”
