I keep seeing reports of this story:
www.theguardian.com/…
The essence of them is, Trump flat out told big oil give me $1B and I'll kill every tax incentive for electric vehicles.
Have we become so calloused by the constant, never ending, monotonous drum beat of campaign fund raising that we're just going to stand by and watch this?
The GOP has blended industrial money and politics into a behemoth of a machine. The Heritage Foundation Project 2025 is disturbing to say the least, and folks are speaking up and speaking out, as they should. This entire mechanism was designed and built to obfuscate the collusion between big business and politicians. They went out of their way to make the obvious shenanigans legal where they could, and didn't do a half bad job at it. Kentucky is dead last in a lot things regular folks care about and has been for decades. Curiously, Moscow Mitch McConnell has had the job he's had the entire time.
Bribery is still illegal. Soliciting a bribe is still illegal.
Donnie Mattress Stains just outright solicited a bribe in the open. Hasn't denied it while it's been widely published in the press, in between coverage of his ongoing criminal trial for campaign finance violations I think. It's getting hard to keep track of them all. Many that's why there isn't more screaming
“He just solicited a bribe in the open.”
