Ukraine launched a broad attack with drones and missiles against Russian facilities in Novorossiysk, Tuapse and Sevastopol. The oil refinery in Tuapse, which is about 450 km down the Black Sea coast from the front, was set ablaze just a week after it was reported that the refinery was back on line after a drone attack in January.
Novorossiysk, about 350 km from the front, became the de facto home for much of the Black Sea Fleet after Ukrainian drones and missiles chased them out of Crimea.
The attack reportedly used up to 80 Liutyi drones that were met with little or no air defense resistance.
Whoever was in charge of air defense must have been drunk.
This drone flew to its target rather slowly and unmolested by air defense.
Ukraine also attacked Sevastopol in Crimea.
The Russians walked right into this one.
Two Russian tanks are destroyed inside Russia. This is reported to be in the Kursk region just across the border near Sumy.
A Russian tank taking out your house is surely a good reason to evacuate.
The flames coming out of the barrel are a nice touch.
Throwing a helmet at a drone is probably a more effective Russian air defense than what they had at Belbek.
Here’s a new drone that is apparently a mother ship that deploys smaller drones.
As drones evolve, so do anti-drone measures.
No word on whether the drone operator spared him.
Ukraine is now allowing convicts with non-violent offenses to join the military. This post makes a good point that the government is clearly trying to avoid forced mobilization of those who don’t want to join.
Hungary continues to demonstrate why there needs to be a way to expel members from the EU and NATO.
This is an amazing milestone.
On the other hand …
Putin is so full of shit it’s oozing out of his ears.
This ought to hit some nerves in Germany.
The company that makes these rifles needs to be added to the sanctions list.
These “media” outlets should have been banned two years ago.
Rest in peace.
It’s sad to see her have to say goodbye to her dog, but this story has a happy ending.
It actually sounds better on the bandura.
