Future Jailmates?

I expect to post at least another 15-20 editorial cartoons in the comments section and also perhaps as manual updates to the diary.
I’ll try to post Part 2 of this diary on Tuesday, May 7th night. It will focus primarily on Trump’s ongoing legal troubles.
Thanks for your support.
Just in case you missed my recent diaries in this series, here are the diary links.
MUST-SEE: Kristi Noem — A Dog’s Worst Nightmare
Thanking All Editorial Cartoonists — Making Our Lives a Little Bit Brighter
Those of us who are political junkies are forever grateful for your portrayal of events that put things into proper perspective. No political target is untouchable or sacrosanct for you.
You tell it like it is—without political spin. We are indebted to you for that. A simple thank you just isn’t enough.
Leave Snoopy Alone
You should never hurt your own pets, no matter what. There are no compelling reasons to do so, period.
It is inhumane and cruel and reflects poorly on you as a human being. If Kristi Noem thought killing her own dog would enhance her political stature as a vice presidential contender and improve her stock among the MAGA crowd and other such Neanderthals, she couldn’t have been more wrong.
It was not only morally repugnant that she shot her dog, but it was also a spectacularly stupid political decision.
5th Avenue is Where Political Dreams Die
“Kristi Noem’s damage-control tour is in full swing. It appears destined for the same fate as her late dog Cricket: dead in a gravel pit somewhere near Pierre,” Politico reports.
“But at Mar-a-Lago, even before the revelation about her dog, Noem had long ago been cast aside as a likely running mate, according to six people close to former President Donald Trump who, while not discounting Noem entirely, have for many weeks said she has almost no chance of being on the ticket. The Cricket saga was just the latest in one of the most spectacularly botched vice presidential contender rollouts in modern political history.”

I’m Tough Enough for MAGA Nation
Kristi Noem’s political career has been dealt a fatal blow. She has become toxic for even hard-core Republicans.
As this article in Rolling Stone pointed out — “Trump ‘Disgusted’ by Kristi Noem’s Puppy Execution Story.”
Noem was previously scheduled to headline a fundraiser on Saturday for Jefferson County Republicans in Lakewood, Colorado. The event was canceled due to apparent “safety concerns.”
As a result of “mainstream media coverage” about the book, the group said it has received death threats and its event was set to face protests. “Please know that the Jefferson County Republican Party is not taking a position on the public outcry on the governor’s book,” the group wrote.

Kristi Noem’s Convoluted Defense
You can’t defend the indefensible.
Politicians and dog experts are criticizing South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem after she wrote in a new book about killing a rambunctious puppy. The story — and the vilification she received on social media — has some wondering whether she’s still a viable potential running mate for presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Experts who work with hunting dogs like Noem’s said she should have trained — not killed — the pup, or found other options if the dog was out of control.
