Trump’s 2024 campaign is built on his now infamous campaign platform as delivered at CPAC in March of 2023:
In 2016, I declared I am your voice. Today, I add I am your warrior, I am your justice. And for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution. I am your retribution.
Even soon to be imprisoned Steve Bannon referred to the performance as Trump’s, “Come Retribution” speech. And if that reference isn’t familiar, here you go:

Many Confederates believed that Abraham Lincoln himself was the sponsor of the Union army's heavy destruction of the South. With John Wilkes Booth as its agent, the Confederate Secret Service devised a plan of retribution—to seize President Lincoln, hold him hostage, and bring the war-weary North to capitulation. The code word for this stratagem was “Come Retribution.”
Trump delivered that same message in Waco, Texas — an obvious and crystal clear nod to the city’s brutal and violent history — a history glorified by the right.
Which brings us to Martha-Ann Alito, who seems to be fully on board with the whole “Come Retribution” philosophy:
For those that don’t do Elmo’s xtwitter, that’s a tweet from Lauren Windsor, self described as “Agnostic. Bisexual. Fashionista. Hapless romantic. Progressive pugilist swamp-slayer” on her website and as the The Liberal Activist Who Targets Republicans With a MAGA Masquerade in the NYT.
Lauren is out with new “EXCLUSIVE UNDERCOVER AUDIO” of Marta-Ann Alito saying:
"I want a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag because I have to look across the lagoon at the Pride flag for the next month."
But that’s at the end, so let’s start at the beginning. Alito starts by basically vowing retribution on the media noting there’s a 5 year statute of limitations on defamation — after saying she’ll be liberated? Is she implying that Trump is going to win, her husband will retire, and then she’ll take the gloves off — as if Trump will appoint her to lead the Department of Retribution?? I honestly have no idea what she means, but I don’t like it.
Martha-Ann continues on for quite some time about being criticized for her clothes and even drops the word, “feminazi”? Listen to her for yourself because you should form your opinion and not listen to me when I say she sounds like a high school gossip mean-girl type. She goes on to say her heritage is German as if that makes her uniquely qualified for vengeance? Again, I’ll let you decide how you want to interpret her comments.
And then the flags...and boy does Martha-Ann like her flags — she talks about how she’s going to “send them a message every day, maybe every week, I’ll be changing the flags” — and the kicker? Apparently she made a flag in her head because that is how she satisfies herself — and that flag?
They’ll be all kinds. I made a flag in my head. This is how I satisfy myself. I made a flag. It’s white and it has yellow and orange flames around it. And in the middle is the word VERGOGNA.
