Vietnam Veterans Getting Proverbial Shaft

For years now, I have heard stories about vets found lying on downtown streets, sleeping due to being on drugs, drunk, or just getting into trouble. I am a non-drinker and do not use drugs. I have never been in trouble with the law until just a few days ago.

I decided to retire a few years ago and live in an apartment in the district of South Denver, Colorado. When I first moved into the apartment, I rented a two-bedroom apartment, which was too expensive, so I spoke with the manager and was allowed to move to a smaller one-bedroom as the cost was somewhat less.
