What Trump Said An Hour Before The Rally

I abhor political violence. I am saddened that a person exercising their right to attend a rally was killed. I am praying for the person who was injured. I am relieved Donald Trump is OK. 

But political violence doesn't happen in a vacuum. Just an before the rally Trump Tweeted the following

“ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE IN ONE HOUR! When I take the rally stage, I could be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT that’s sure to strike FEAR into the hearts of our DEEP STATE ENEMIES.”

When you constantly use militant and violent rhetoric, even if you don't intend for that rhetoric to be taken literally, it's only a matter of time before some crazy wacko takes it literally and acts out. 

Let us hope that this moment causes us to demand that militant and violent rhetoric no longer be used by candidates for high office (or any office).
