With regard to the donation, it appears that they put the wrong city. It should have said Bethel Park. There is a Thomas Crooks age 69 who lives in Pittsburgh. Again, I put "perhaps" and with the shooter's address being in Bethel Park which has its own post office, then "perhaps " was reasonable. He didn't try to register as a Republican in order to sabotage the Republican Party's primary. Stop it. He voted in the 2022 midterms, but not in the Republican Party's primary. Again the local paper was the basis of the information about the shooter, the Philadelphia Inquirer. No, it's not local like Pittsburgh, but it's close. Again the only point here in dispute was the donation and that was in dispute for a good reason. However, now the evidence appears to strongly suggest that the shooter made the donation and we have no idea why. Nevertheless, a $15 donation three years ago, in 2021, does not overcome all the other information that makes it clear that this guy was a conservative, not a progressive, not a democrat. The donation question alone is insufficient basis to delete the diary. Indeed, again, I put "perhaps" and there is a Thomas Crooks age 69 who lives in Pittsburgh. However, the rest of the evidence, again, makes it clear that the shooter was a conservative. Stop with your hostility and your conspiracy theories please. Thank you !!
The Republican Party again overstepped instead of using this wisely to build compassion and translate that into support. The mainstream media pushed this false narrative that President Biden had some sort of culpability because (1) he used the word target which is absurd and (2) they tried to imply and allowed right wing conservatives to say that President Biden and the Democratic Party are responsible for this event because we identify Donald Trump correctly as a fascist, an authoritarian, and an existential threat to democracy. The Republicans then illogically and dishonestly add "who must he stopped at all costs" to the accurate descriptors. They know that they can't sell fascism to most Americans. So, they are trying to intimidate us into not calling him the convicted felon (whose sentence pronouncement was put off until September but eventually it will happen) a fascist and an existential threat to democracy because they know that if this message gets to most voters, then Trump can't win. But we're not going to stop telling the truth about him. President Biden has never promoted political violence, but Donald Trump has called for political violence many times .
Ben Meiselas read the story from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

From the Philadelphia Inquirer "Former student Max R. Smith remembered Crooks as an intelligent classmate with conservative political leanings. Smith recalled participating in a mock debate in a course they took together, where their teacher posed questions on government policy and had students stand on opposite sides of the classroom to signal their support or opposition. 'The majority of the class were on the liberal side, but Tom, no matter what, always stood his ground on the conservative side.'
He was a gun fetishist. He wore a Demolitia T-shirt, he was a member at a gun club. He was a registered Republican. The donation was 3 years ago, $15, and for some local group but perhaps that donation was by somebody else since it is associated with the wrong zip code and wrong city. The father is a registered Republican. This is a consistent picture. Dude is an R.
