-It’s too late to change top of ticket; legally it puts us at scary risk for lawsuits from the right that can lead to the Supreme Court deciding the election, like Bush/Gore.
-She hears no actual plan for a change even within “inside rooms” discussing this topic.
-(Edited to add): The people having these discussions in these rooms are not fully on board with a candidate replacement; in fact, many want to replace the entire ticket and bounce Kamala. There is no consensus.
-People focus on Biden’s weaknesses and don’t understand his electoral strengths. It’s not about the candidate choice that excites us most as much as it is about winning the election in our current electoral college system. Biden has real strengths here that people are not discussing.
-She is angry about Democratic leadership that is cowardly engaging a whisper campaign instead of coming straight out with their opinions and plan; this hurts the party and creates chaos and is wildly irresponsible from people in charge of organizing and leading the party so close to the election.
-The election is not in November, it starts in September with first early ballots mailed in Michigan. We have even less time than we think.
