The tide has turned...

Trump threatened to bring the GOP down with him if they didn’t make him the nominee. He refused to leave the stage. Biden, knowing democracy was at stake, put his ego aside for the good of the nation and in one amazing selfless act, changed the game.  The Democratic party is energized, excited, and united. 

The good news keeps on coming.

Trump is enraged:

“Fresh off weeks of mounting confidence over Biden’s stumbles and reams of polling showing the former president ahead in key swing states, Trump at one point appeared frustrated at Biden’s exit, writing on social media that he was ‘forced to spend time and money’ against Biden and now has to ‘start all over again.’”

Harris has been absolutely flooded with new donations:

in just over four hours, the total had climbed to nearly $25 million raised.  In six hours, it reach $35 million raised. In seven hours, the number hit nearly $50 million.

All major Democrats, including potential challengers, have backed Harris, as well as all 50 state chairs:

Republicans don’t know how to react so they’ve fallen back on unmitigated racism and misogyny on social media, yet that only serves to remind people of who they are.

I’ve been in a such funk the past two weeks, but now all the energy is on our side. The good news will continue. Trump would never have picked J.D.Vance if he thought he was going to face Harris. He has a real race on his hands, and I, for one, am here for it.
