Not a fan of the drive-by diary, but I had to post this after seeing that no one has posted anything that I could see on this subject. Ran across this post on Xitter about five minutes ago:
I went looking for it online to verify, couldn’t find anything on her website. I hope she’s going to fix that. But, The New Republic picked it up and did a short piece on it. It apparently went out in an email.
Personally, I think people have been absolutely starving for this type of approach to take Trump head on. Call him what he is, a “78-year-old criminal“. Most important, this is factual. But, it also shows a willingness to use the language that we should always be using around Donald Trump. he’s an old angry white guy who never laughs who is a convicted criminal which says everything you need to know about him if you’re not already in the cult. He is a joke. He is not to be taken seriously.
Not for nothing, when I saw the screenshot, as well as the first opening sentence asking Trump if he’s OK, I immediately thought of Randy Rainbow. I could easily see him doing one of his parodies to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”. “Donnie are you OK? Are you OK? Are you OK Donnie?“ And they could title the song to something like “cruel criminal“ or even “old criminal“.
