Good morning! Today is the ninth Monday that Donald Trump has been a convicted felon.

But it’s the second Monday that we’ve basically known that Kamala Harris was going to be the Democratic standard bearer in the next election.

I missed the first one!

Now, some people said that last week was a terrible week to choose to be on vacation from the show. And some people said they really missed hearing me and Greg Dworkin offer our takes on the big news.

But I would argue that the best thing for all of us was to absorb the news, and then for us to return to the air as if the change was the most natural thing in the world.

It’s a fait accompli, now.

And the campaign has gotten off to a roaring start! We can just jump right in and roll with it!

And so we will.
