Let’s find the best home for Electra, the darling of our late friend, jrfrog

Electra, a healthy, eight year old beauty

We were all devastated when we learned that longtime Kossack jrfrog had passed away.  Jrfrog’s sister has asked if anyone at Daily Kos can provide a good home for Electra, his beloved cat.

Electra is not just any old cat.  She is a healthy, eight year old Turkish Van, a rather uncommon breed that features a plume like tail. But more importantly, Electra is one of the iconic cats of Daily Kos.  Jrfrog gave her a voice.  Who knew that a cat could have a keen eye for fine art photography?  Or that she could write an advice column?

That’s our Electra. 

Here’s the deal.  We have a back up adoption plan.  Patricia Parcells can take Electra an integrate her into her two cat household.  Patricia’s cats are very chill and this could work.  BUT Patricia is in Benton County, Oregon.  Electra is in the area of San Louis Obispo, California. We would need to find transportation for Electra if we go with this plan.

HOWEVER, it would be better if there is someone nearer San Luis Obispo who currently has no pets who could take her.  As previously stated,  Electra has only ever been an only cat with a daddy who doted on her.

Jrfrog’s sister ([e-mail]) is handling jrfrog’s estate.  A kind neighbor is currently feeding Electra.  The sooner a home is found for Electra, the better.  By Friday, if we haven’t succeeded, Patrica Parcells would like to find transportation for Electra to bring her home to Oregon.
