VP Kamala Harris’ major public speaking event this week was at the 30th Essence Festival, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Essence magazine founded in 1970 for Black women, it’s first Essence Festival celebrating 25 years of Essence magazine held in 1995 (the largest Black culture and music event in the US). Black women being the base, the backbone, the spine, of the Democratic party, the Essence Festival was the perfect forum for Vice President Kamala Harris and Black women to assert unity for the Biden-Harris 2024 ticket.
Tuesday (Jul 2) , VP Harris attended a private fundraiser in San Francisco, California.
Wednesday (Jul 3) CBS News reporters caught up with Vice President Harris who made it clear: when asked, “Are you ready to lead the country if necessary?”
I am proud to be Joe Biden’s running mate.”
Also on Wednesday, VP Harris attended the meeting of President Joe Biden with Democratic Governors, who came ot of the meeting fully supporting Biden-Harris 2024.
Thursday (Jul 4), Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff joined President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden in a 4th of July celebration for military and veteran families, caregivers, and survivors. VP Harris, in her short remarks:

Friday (Jul 5), VP Harris was off to New Orleans for the Essence Festival. Shortly after her arrival in New Orleans, she stopped by the Caesars Superdome, to roars from the crowd:
