Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Divorce
What is Project 2025’s goals for these issues? Unclear. The plan has no policy goals or recommendations that directly address any of these issues, only a consistent conviction that heterosexual marriage must be incentivized and promoted wherever possible.
The cumulative total of these policies, if enacted, would only be to make it more difficult for women to leave a dangerous or abusive marriage than it already is
Project 2025, on page 482, says that “federal Head Start centers, which provide preschool care to children from low-income families…should be eliminated along with the entire OHS.”
The Project 2025 plans for Trump’s USA also say,
Pg 478-9: “Child support in the United States should strengthen marriage as the norm, restore broken homes, and encourage unmarried couples to commit to marriage.”
It’s not the government’s job to push women back into broken relationships with men. And it’s definitely not the government’s job to make divorce next to impossible….

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), claimed that leaving “unhappy or even violent” marriages “didn’t work out for the kids,” suggesting that people trapped in violent marriages should stay in them to preserve family stability.

the marriage stuff in the Project 2025 plan for Trump’s USA is really over the top. Here’s where Project 2025 might show their hand on no fault divorce:
pg 451: “HHS policies should never place the desires of adults over the right of children to be raised by the biological fathers and mothers who conceive them. In cases involving biological parents who are found by a court to be unfit because of abuse or neglect, the process of adoption should be speedy, certain, and supported generously.” [ie, victims of spousal abuse be damned?!]
Seriously, WTF is wrong with these people. Kids have a right to stay with a non-abusive parent, who more often than not is their mother. And women have a right to be free from spousal abuse without fear of having their kids taken from them and put up for a swift and certain adoption. And in the worst cases a “biological” father could be a fucking rapist.
