Trump The Uniter? Nah.

Trump had a public Q&A at the National Association of Black Journalists convention yesterday. Normal right? A politician shows up at a convention to answer questions about his/her candidacy. That's the way we do it.

But not Trump. He showed up to make his MAGA talking points and insult Blacks and in reality the remainder of the country. He was harsh, blunt, racist, and nasty. He had no intent of doing anything other than portraying himself as against every decent thought Blacks and America have. He was laughed at. Easily debunked even as he said certain things. In short, he made a complete fool of himself.

I'm reading a lot of stories today saying this was a disaster for Trump. I've got a different point of view. This was deliberate. He attacked the Black Journalists and America deliberately. He was deliberately nasty and blunt and racist. Why would he do that you ask? Because.

Fox News and other Right wing media reveled in their stories of Trump taking it to the libs. To the Blacks. To the Left. They didn't show clips of the multiple instances where Trump was laughed at. Nor the multiple instances of when he was thoroughly debunked. They showed clips of him making his racist and nasty points and gleefully reported that Trump walked into a den of evil and told it to shut up and back off.

Trump was a uniter. Of his base.  He continues to unite his base using these tactics. And it works. It's not just Trump ruining America as we know it. He has tens of millions of followers in that base. This is as much on them as Trump.
