I fell asleep after watching the Diamondbacks game yesterday. I woke up to an absolute shit storm on my news feed. I watched the clips of actual journalists not paid by billionaires asking actual questions to an actual asshole. My god.
I think 5 minutes before the interview started was the high water mark of his campaign. No self respecting, free thinking individual will consider him qualified to run a car wash let alone a country after this. So let’s have some fun at the Tangerine Troglodyte’s expense. When did you turn black?
I remember the day clearly. Back in 94 I walked into a Zia Records in Phoenix, Az and heard Beau Jocque for the first time. Within 5 minutes I was hooked.
And I use Beau as an example of just how fucked the conning caveman’s thinking is. Can you take a look at that crowd and pigeon hole anyone? America is great right now. Why? Because of our diversity. The cultural and racial influences in this country is amazing. The fact that a woman whose parents came from Jamaica and India has a shot at becoming President is what makes us great. The knuckle draggers who think in black and white terms reduce that greatness if we let them. The swine that think that gender factors into whether or not a person can do the job cheapen this country if we let them.
Every day from here to election night is a chance to slip the bonds of our narrow minded history of sex and race to break into new territory in our everlasting endeavor to form a more perfect union. It sure feels better than spending years just trying to maintain the victories we’ve won in the past.
